Respecting parents
I wrote the book “Together with Parents” based on Surah Luqman for several reasons. This surah of the Quran emphasizes the importance of respecting parents, particularly mothers. The advice that Luqman gives to his son regarding showing gratitude and respect towards parents is a powerful reminder of the role that parents play in the lives of their children.
One of the most significant verses in Surah Luqman is verse 14, which highlights the responsibility that humans have to care for their parents. It also emphasizes the crucial role that mothers play in the development and upbringing of their children, as they undergo significant challenges during pregnancy and childbirth.
Furthermore, it encourages children to appreciate and value their mothers’ efforts and sacrifices. The teachings of Surah Luqman can inspire families to build stronger, more loving relationships and create a more harmonious and fulfilling home environment.
